On behalf of the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo and on my own behalf, I am pleased to congratulate all Muslims throughout our country and the world over on the successful completion of our month long sacred Ramadan fast.

The past 30 days has been a period of great sacrifice, a time we have abstained from the physical pleasures of life in order for us to seek immeasurable blessings from Allah, our Maker. In the past month, we have studied and recited the Holy Qu’ran, the teachings of the Holy Prophet, supported each other and shared with the needy so that we may be found pleasing in the eyes of Allah, the most merciful.

On this all important date in our calendar as we mark the end of the fasting period, it is time to be glad and to rejoice for we have strengthened ourselves spiritually and we have sought blessings and favours from Allah which we do know he has and would fulfill.

We should also be glad that we have gone through this period in harmony and we have lived with each other in unity and utmost tranquillity. Continue reading
