Akufo-Addo Marks Independence Celebration with Prayers

The 2012 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo on Sunday joined hundreds of Ghanaians in the United Kingdom to mark Ghana’s Independence Day celebration at the Living Springs International Church, London.

Delivering his sermon on ‘Freedom’, Pastor Yaw Bamfo observed that “great things are going to happen in Ghana this year”, adding that “when the righteous rule the Lord rejoices.”

He said “Ghanaians have demonstrated by our conduct and behavior that Ghana is indeed the black star of Africa and it must remain so.”

He noted that at the start of the year “God gave a revelation that the year 2012 is a year of elevation and we are going higher.” Continue reading


Akufo-Addo Sends Message to Muslims

On behalf of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and on my own behalf, I wish to congratulate Muslims on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast. It is the hope of the NPP that the one month of spiritual engagement and intercessory prayer would spur us on to higher heights of achievement and economic and political fulfillment. I send you best wishes and by extension all Muslims across the world as you celebrate the annual Eid al-Fitr festival.

As a people of Abrahamic faiths, both Christians and Muslims share a common bond of devotion and commitment to God. We have a deep respect for your commitment to the ideals of God and His word. Continue reading


The New Patriotic Party is calling on the Muslim community to be steadfast and pray for the nation as the Ramadan draws to an end.

On this day the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, as you offer prayers in solemnity to the Almighty Allah, we entreat you to ask for strength for our workforce, wisdom for our leaders, prosperity for us all and peace for mother Ghana.
