Free Tamale Boys – Pius Charges NPP Leadership!

A parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party in the 2012 election and an aspirant National Youth Organizer of the party, Mr. Pius Enam Hadzide has appealed to the leadership of the party to take a serious view of the situation in Tamale involving the sentencing of five young men of the party by the tamale High Court to various prison terms including death. According to Mr. Hadzide who spoke to Today Newspaper from his base in the Volta Region, if nothing drastic and swift is done now, the situation would have a demoralizing effect on the youth of the party especially from the north. He has therefore called on the leadership to attach the same amount of seriousness and importance that was attached to the election petition hearing. “I congratulate Lawyer Obiri Boahen for his continued commitment to the cause and I am also aware that the General Secretary was in the north to amongst other things call for calm, but I am appealing that as a matter of urgency, the party dispatches the same high profile legal representation as we saw during the petition hearing, together with the three former attorney generals to Tamale, to immediately activate the appeal process and to secure the freedom of those boys”. I trust Nana Addo – Samira

Samira Bawumia, wife of NPP Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr. Bawumia, has called on the youth of Ghana to rally behind Nana Akufo-Addo in this year’s election because the programs and policies that he is proposing are youth centered and will lead to the transformation of Ghana.

Speaking to Jeremy on the newly introduced “Rock with Da votes 2012” a youth program on YFM 107.9fm in Accra on Saturday, Samira touched on a wide range of issues. According to Samira, she trusts Nana Akufo-Addo as a person to deliver on his promises.

“Talk of Free education, decoupling of the NHIS, creation of jobs and you are talking of programs that target the youth. Above all Nana Addo is a man I trust. This is a man who has throughout his youthful and adult life been fighting for the Ghanaian cause and i do not see how he will turn his back on the same people he has been fighting for. I trust him”, she said. Continue reading

Volunteer to become a member of Nana Addo’s Campaign Team

Hello there, I’m Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and I’m running for president of Ghana.

You are receiving this broadcast either because you’re Ghanaian or you are on the contact list of a Ghanaian. My campaign to restore hope to Ghanaians is a grass roots campaign. This essentially means that I will be relying on selfless volunteers, like you, to carry my messages of an industrialized Ghana, free secondary school education and teachers first policy to the electorate. I have therefore made it a point to make social media a great part of my campaign.

You can follow me on Twitter: @nadaa2012 or become a fan on Facebook: http://facebook.com/nadaa2012. If you’re reading this, the least you can do is copy and broadcast this message via BBM or Whatsapp or email. I also encourage you to follow my campaign on Twitter and Facebook.

Thank you.

Nana Akufo-Addo.

On Saturday, the 8th of January 2000, the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) of the New Patriotic Party was inaugurated at the courtyard of the Independence Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kumasi. And on this occasion, I congratulate all past and current members of TESCON for their role in the political development of Ghana.

 The Formation of TESCON

As the Fourth Republic grew, the students’ wing of the NPP assumed certain distinct roles. Not only were they watchdogs and advocates against the educational policies and decisions of government, they were also effective advocates for the party on various national issues on the campuses.
